Dopo aver lavorato duramente a progetti interni a Sony, quali The Last of Us, Uncharted 3, Starhawk, Twisted Metal, Fat Princess: Piece of Cake, Everquest II, Free Realms e PlanetSide 2, come sound designer, Robert Krekel è stato trasferito negli uffici di Naughty Dog per lavorare ufficialmente ad Uncharted 4.
L’annuncio arriva tramite un messaggio postato sul proprio account di Twitter, dove ha fatto sapere che ricoprirà il posto di senior sound designer presso Naughty Dog. Tuttavia Krekel ha fatto sapere che non si tratterà di un gran cambiamento, visto che ha lavorato già per la software house per quattro anni.
